Summer in Southern California means June gloom, fog on the 4th of July & the fair in August. Summer in Colorado means packing away your winter clothes, breaking out the sundresses & dusting off your flip flops to prepare for a stint of life on the sun (as Mr. Wonderful tells it) with days reaching 109 and nights staying warm we are definitely experiencing seasons.
My garden is happy to have so much sunlight- everything is flourishing! I fact, just the other day we got to pick some beets and a cucumber and a few strawberries (they were delicious!)
This summer my brother & his family came to visit us- we had a wonderful visit with them! We just loved getting to be tourists & go to the Glenwood Springs Adventure Park and take the cave tours.
We rode 2 gondolas; one to the adventure park & one to the Aspen Summit!
Summer up here really is beautiful! It's a totally different type of beautiful than beach beautiful. I love them both.
