Welcome to colorful Colorado!

Well we've been here a week.  Everyone I talk to tells me to give it 6 months, "in 6 months you'll know."
But what will I know in 6 months that I don't know now?

I know that in the mornings its 19 degrees, and every night there are multiple deer in the backyard, front yard, the neighbors yard, and pretty much everywhere I look.  Which being from the beach in California- we don't exactly have those on every street corner; so its fun for me, and it gives the puppy something to bark at.  And bark he does.

The boxes are being whittled down by the day, the kitchen got unpacked first, then our bedroom, then the living room and the den. At least all of the places where we spend most of our time are box-free.  Which makes us feel a little less crazy.

We have ventured to the local grocery store (across 5 cattle guards and the Colorado River), to Aspen & Grand Junction. We are learning our way around, and figuring things out as we go.

Now if I could just learn how to drive the speed limit; which is 10 MPH faster than California mind you.  Mr. Wonderful has to keep reminding me to "step on it."

On a positive note, the sunsets are beautiful, the air is clean, and there is TONS of open space for the pup-pup to run his little heart out.

So far, so good. Lets be honest, I miss home and everyone there like crazy, but life in the country isn't so bad.

XOXO
